“William DeSalvo’s present employment is as a system production manager in anatomic pathology for Sonora Quest Laboratories, and owner of Collaborative Advantage Consulting. He is actively involved in the National Society for Histotechnology as chair of the quality management committee; in the Digital Pathology Association as a member of the board; and as an adjunct faculty and advisory board member at Phoenix College. He also serves on the editorial advisory board of Clinical Lab Products.
DeSalvo earned his biology degree from Southeast Missouri State University (1979), and has held a histotechnologist certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) since 1981. He has more than 35 years of experience in all aspects of anatomic pathology processes, in both hospital and commercial histology laboratories.
During the past seven years, DeSalvo has been dedicated to professional education through the development of workshops and presentations, and through advocacy for standardization and process improvement in the histology laboratory. He also has experience in development, marketing, and sales management for histology products.”
