As Chief Executive Officer for Anthem Ventures, Don is responsible for the strategic and operational direction of the business and its assets. In this, Don applies over 20 years of media experience to create highly desirable business information and successful marketing solutions. In today’s rapidly-evolving, fast-paced and information-overloaded business world, Don’s responsibility is to ensure that Anthem’s media brands are uniquely positioned to inform, engage, and foster communities around common business challenges – and in making Anthem’s customers successful in this environment. Don finds inspiration in two of his favorite musical artists. Calling on The Beatles’ relentless innovation and The Rolling Stones’ commitment to be the best at what they do, he challenges himself daily to help lead Anthem and its clients toward growth.
Ed Place is the Chief Financial Officer of Anthem Media Group. Prior to Anthem, Place was the President of Lead Capital, a boutique merchant banking firm with a focused set of transaction, consulting and financial advisory capabilities. Ed also served as a director for Lead Bank, which is one of two affiliate companies with Lead Capital. Before Lead Capital Ed was a director and CFO for Citizens Bank & Trust, a $1 billion community bank headquartered in Chillicothe, Missouri. Additionally, he served in a range of business and finance leadership roles in the United States and internationally for more than 20 years with Hallmark Cards. Ed has earned his master’s degree in Business Administration from Rockhurst University’s Executive Fellows Program, making him a healthy combination of brains and determination.
Jae brings an extensive experience of more than 20 years in software architecture to Anthem. After getting his start as a software architect, Jae spent more than five years as Chief Software Architect at VML, a digital advertising agency in Kansas City. He then went on to co-found Spiral16, one of the first social media monitoring companies in the industry. Most recently, he has been a secondary contractor for the government. Jae’s experience brings a new dimension of talent to Anthem as he creates a better online environment for our business partners.
Vice President, Media Operations
Erin has been with Anthem Ventures, the parent company of Kinetic Supply, since its beginning when her “office” was the kitchen table of Anthem’s founder. Since then, she has consistently applied her creative talents winning awards and clients along the way. Erin also mentors the next generation of designers through the Kansas Associated Collegiate Press’ annual student review and the Folio: Awards judging panel. Additionally, she is involved in the local performing arts scene as a Board Member for the Wylliams-Henry Contemporary Dance Company. Whether it’s a campaign for a client, helping a college student improve their work or advising the promotion of modern ballet, the root task is always the same: understand the objectives for the piece and apply the aesthetics needed to fulfill those goals.
Sree Roy was promoted to editorial director in July 2016. Roy has been chief editor of Sleep Review, an Allied 360 magazine and website that focuses on sleep medicine, for 3 years—a position in which she will continue. In her new leadership position, Roy will work with management and the editorial staffs of Allied’s healthcare-focused media brands to create content strategy across platforms.
Prior to joining Allied 360 in October 2013, Roy worked her way up to managing editor of a beauty trade publication, as well as managed that trade publishing house’s editorial assistants and interns.
As the Marketing Manager, Cortney leads the marketing team which executes an assortment of marketing programs across all brands. With a widespread background including journalism, design & print, Cortney brings a diverse background of knowledge to the team. She is committed to delivering consistent brand strategy & the elite marketing programs.
